Environment Management
Vardhman Chemtech Ltd. received certification for its integrated management system for environmental, health and safety (EHS). The company earned ISO 9001 in the area of quality management, ISO 14001 for the management of environmental protection and BS OHSAS 18001 for ensuring the occupational safety and health protection. The Integrated Management System applies to all fields of the Company’s activities.
The Company has implemented a comprehensive environmental, health and safety management system throughout the company. It ensures compliance with official regulations as well as supports continuous improvement in environmental, health and work safety.
The management system is rooted in the company's philosophy and organizational structure, which focus on protecting the employee and the environment. Vardhman EHS policies are explicit, which employees are trained and required to follow.
The Company has developed waste treatment plants and effectively integrated the environment consciousness into the manufacturing process as a whole. We have a fully integrated environment plan in place and the same has been approved by the Ministry of Environment & Forests. As a part of this effort we have taken certain steps such as:
- 25 % of the total land is covered with trees and plants.
- Proper segregation of steams is done to cause minimum air & water pollution.
- Two Multiple Evaporators are in place.
- Biological treatment of the waste in an appropriate manner is done.
- Incilliator is installed for disposal of solid waste.
- Waste water treatment is done and treated water is used to irrigate the trees in green area.
